BURRI GRANTS COLLISION WITH THE BUCKS AT THE NFL COLLIDENANCE GAME

Cleveland Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III has been placed on injured reserve and will undergo surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

The Browns announced Thursday that Griffin suffered a partial tear in his ACL during Sunday’s 34-20 win over the New York Giants.

Griffin was taken off the field in the fourth quarter after suffering the injury.

He’ll undergo surgery at a local hospital on Thursday.

Griffin is currently on the physically unable to perform list, which means the Browns can keep him on the roster, but they can’t keep him from returning to the field.

He’d be eligible to return on Jan. 10, 2018.
